I bought TWO Vettes at Maxie Price and I have never had one bit of trouble. I live about 60 miles from them. Everyone has always been respectful and when I needed something they bent over backwards to make it right. I have never had one issue with them. When I bought my 07 there were a couple of issues and they fixed them for me right away.
Update: Filed complaints against Maxie Price Chevrolet with Chevrolet Corporate, The Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. Still no response from the dealership. I did hear back from Chevrolet Corporate, they said Maxie Price was unwilling to try and come to a resolve. I have yet to hear back from the BBB or FTC. I have since taken care of the problems with the Corvette myself. I have owned over 65 cars in my lifetime (60% or better purchased from major dealerships), and I have NEVER had such bad customer service EVER! When a Dealership will not return your phone calls, I call that BAD customer service. At the very least, either the salesman, sales manager, or hell even the owner should grow some balls, pick up the phone, and return my call even if it is just to tell me...your on your own buddy! I could appreciate that more than their lack of communication and concern for customer service! But absolutely NO ONE has even as much as taken the effort to call me back as of today. It would be different if I bought the car somewhere like "Fred and Seth's Used Car-O-Rama", but I didn't...I bought it from a supposed "reputable" Chevrolet Dealership! Well enough ranting, I am sure nothing will come of this, and life is too short for stress and BS. I just want to express to anyone in the market for a new or used Corvette...do yourself a giant favor, steer clear of these bunch of jacklegs! ( definition for jackleg according to Merriam-Webster : a: characterized by unscrupulousness, dishonesty, or lack of professional standards <a jackleg lawyer> b: lacking skill or training:amateur<a jackleg carpenter> c : designed as a temporary expedient :makeshift ) I can honestly say, if I saw any one of those idiots from that Dealership laying in a ditch on fire, I wouldn't take the time to piss on them to put them out :flipa ...I JUST SAYIN
Noted for future reference... Sorry to hear it didn't come out more favorably...
I'm only a little bit surprised that Chevrolet Corporate reported to you that Maxie Price openly admitted to them that they were unwilling to try and resolve the problem; and that they, in return, were unwilling to put some pressure on Maxie Price in order to get them to at least address the concerns of a customer who had just purchased (albeit used) one of their flagship products (i.e., the Corvette). After what I had to go through once upon a time to get a replacement truck from GMC, it seems that GM Corporate is more interested in deferring to the opinions (honest or otherwise) of their dealerships than in actually doing anything constructive to address customer concerns... In my opinion, one of the reasons (perhaps the main reason) why GM went bankrupt a few years ago...
I would also offer a warning against a certain Buick-GMC dealership with whom I've dealt in the past, and which displayed a distinct lack of scruples and customer service when I had purchased (new, mind you) a clearly flawed truck from them -- but I can happily report that they are now defunct... With any luck, you'll see that day come with Maxie Price; I'm sad to say, that may be the only solace you receive out of this... Sometimes it takes a while, but word does get around...
