I sent a e mail to Autoweek asking where in our area you can buy it off the shelf.

Thanks, I was going to try that too.

I think we are all (including AW) reading too much into the 350z ride along. My bet is that they have been comparing to several world class cars (Ferrari, maybe porsche boxter, etc). The 350z is being touted for its "nimble" handling. If the C6 really comes in at 3100 lbs and much of the weight reduction is at the ends, beyond the wheels, "nimble" may be used to describe the improved feel. Been a while since that word was used to describe vette handling - its been great, but not nimble.

Also, if this Beta excursion onto public roads was a planned marketing leak, as I adamently believe, would you bring along a 575M Maranello or a 350Z as a pace car?

I think the current price increases accomplish two things;
1. Allow the dealers to really deal to get the C5 inventory sold at "bargain" deals.
2. Allow the C6 to be introduced without a price increase.

More so than ever before the performance per dollar will be very high. The C6 WILL run with the BIG DOGS, not the little ponies. The 'stang can't run with the BIG DOGS. The GTO will have to take on the 'stang until the General decides how to bring back the Camaro.
