I just "inherited" a 78 with a few problems: Windshield frame rusted through, wheel bearings, Carburetor needs rebuilding, new seats, alternator spiking, A/C compressor and a few other times. I am looking for a mechanic who is familiar with working on the C3. My prior mechanic's done more harm than good as he's never worked on one. I live in northeast Georgia (Gainesville).

Welcome to CAC!!!!

Jim Watson at Performance Concepts in Blairsville. 706-781-6789. This is the only guy I let work on my 77 before I sold it off. He's a one man operation working out of his home but has extensive background with the cars. I tried several other places during the 10 years that I had the 77 and was not satisfied with any of them.

Thanks, I'll drive up this afternoon!

Welcome to the CAC. That windshield frame repair takes someone who has been around that corner before. Get references before you let someone cut your car apart.

I know this is a big job. That's why I chose this site for any input. Thanks for the reinforcement.

Jim knows his stuff and knows where to refer people when he can't do it. I would call before I drive up there to make sure he is still in the business. He was probably late 50's when I last say him and it's been 5 or 6 years.
