I was away from CAC for a while due to business trips abroad. Came back home a few days ago and have been busy with the daily stuff - home / work / home. Just noticed it is that time of the year (we do not have Christmas in Muslim world, but I do not care much about religion anyway).

Wishing the good people of CAC a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Cheers,

Selim

It is freezing cold here, minus 14 celcius yesterday morning, froze my a** off :)

Thank you,
A Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New year to you and your family.

Do you celebrate Hajj?

Yeah, there are two religious holidays in Muslim world and one of them is right after Hajj season, which is 2 months or so after the first one. This year Hajj holiday will be a 9 day break in Turkey, in the second week of January 06. Such holidays are similar to Christmas, a good time for family reunion. The local customs are visiting elderly members of the family, helping the poor with food and other means, getting together with the family, and so on. But we are fast losing the habits; people most often go to holiday resorts and have fun...

Cheers,

Selim

Pretty cool. I was reading up a little on it. Sounds like a very nice holiday! Do you at least get to drive your vette when you go to visit? Or is it colld over there?

Still very cold here. It is actually the coldest time of the year all around Turkey although it is milder in the south (mediterrenian coast line). I take the car out in sunny & dry days for a short trip and bring it back home into the garrage. It is almost like the Golden Retriever puppy we have (4 months old). The big difference is that the Vette does not need housetraining :) :) :)

Cheers,

Selim

I've found that My golden retriever is now less maintenance than my vette. (she's 5, the retriever that is). But when she was a pup she was a handful.
Do you have any pics you can post of the puppy? What's his/her name?

Yeps I got pictures of the puppy; he is growing so fast I hasitate to call him a pup any more :) His name is Baldo (means "confident" in Italian)

Cheers,

Selim

Picture of The Golden

This is a picture of Baldo (male Golden Retriever) when he was 2 months old. Now he is 4 months and much more than a laptop :)
