Can anybody help when I first start up my 93 with 45k on it runs fine but after warm up it starts to miss some you can really notice it at stop signs I took it to the dealer and they said to replace my dist. they wanted me to spend $1300.00 but after I said that it was done 2 years ago they said well maybe you just need wires for $600, then I showed them the reciept that I replaced the dist the water pump and wires. The dealer charged me $100 for nothing and they said thier mechinic was the best corvett one in the state. WOW

Sounds like maybe you need to go to another state or fix it yourself after you ask for your $100.00 back!!!

Your dealership = BOHICA! (Bend Over, Here It Comes Again) If their Vette mechanic's the best in the state, I'd hate to see the worst. They sure don't have a problem throwing your money at a problem, do they?

you are right but any ideas on what might be wrong with my baby.;shrug

Plugs, coil, coil module, carbon tracking and the list goes on and on. After checking the easy and obvious things, only careful and methodical troubleshooting may find your problem. And even your new or recently replaced parts are no guarantee. While I too would tend to look at ignition problems from your description, there's no surety at this point that it may not be something else too.

thanks

Yea it sad and they would not give me my money back they suck, and thanks for the advise I will start with the plugs and work my way up. John

First thing I would check is the EGR for a piece of carbon stuck in it!!! I run into this allot on older Low mileage GM cars!!:upthumbs:upthumbs

many thanks

:beer
get a digital ohm meter and check ALL your injectors for 16ohms +- 1 ohm. its a fairly easy item to check

THANKS THANKS AND AGAIN THANKS I AM OUT OF TOWN RIGHT NOW BUT WHEN I GET HOME I WILL TRY THIS AND LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS. JOHN
ANOTHER VETT LOVER :cool

i saw a thread where c4c5specialist stated that the reading should be 16.5 ohms. i just put in a new set that were all 16.2 and/or 16.3

I had a similiar experience with my 95 at 50k miles. It ended up being the O2 sensor.
Found out the ECM runs in a closed loop mode until exhausts temp reaches 200+ , subbsequentlythe defective O2 sensor sends incorrect data to the ECM and screws up the mix and timing.

Good luck.
