Please post your mods wishlists for your new C6. Include performance AND cosmetic mods...

Go easy on critiques and if you do, please quote references for your evidence... we all want to go faster for the least amount of modding & costs.

Actually am planning on aftermarket air filter, and Corsa exhaust. That will be about it, because I plan to sell the car next year and don't want to spend too much on it.

The reason I did not buy a C5 was partly due to the "must have" mods that were apparent to me. The first of these was the muffler arrangement. Need I say more about that? It was awful. So a huge market emerged of aftermarket folks whose products would fix the factory problem. Then there was the restrictive air supply and reprogramming of the computer controls. So I'm looking at the specs of the C6 and wondering what there is to "fix" with aftermarket goodies? I don't see anything. Now, you might want to make the car look different......but to me the car is sufficient as it is. 400 hp....close ratio 6 speed with Z51....great brakes....and a computer control system that will make tinkering difficult. So why void the warranty with extra stuff? Do you really need better 0-60 than 4.2 seconds? REALLY? OK, then I'll bet you that all the money you'd spend on all the aftermarket mods just might add up to enough to buy a Z06......yah they will be super expensive but if the rumors are true how are you going to make a better/faster car out of a regular C6 with all the mods? And....how are Lloyd's embroidered car mats goin to make you go faster????

ps.....isn't there an exhaust cross over from the factory?

I don't know what to say!

I have a friend that asked me the same question last week. He got a C6 in October and wants "some more pony's in it".
We talked the Corsa exhaust and possibly taking it to Lingenfelters for a few weeks, but I don't really know of anything more that would get him some more go-go power out of that LS2. Let's keep this link going and put our heads together to build a dream machine that really moves!

The Corsa website states that there is a 64% increase in tested flow stock vs the new C6 muffler. As of now they apparently have not dyno tested the conversion. The results will be very interesting. The conversion is not inexpensive. However, the parts have a life guarantee and the sound may be better than stock. This is probably the one performance change I would personally consider.

Just had a great chat with Jeff at Corsa. The increased airflow is nice but how does that equate to horsepower and troque. Dyno tested on a C6 at 5 to 10 HP increase and an increase in the torque (as if the car needed more) The torque curve does move slightly higher in the RPM range with their exhaust. Now the really good part. The sound is more aggressive at full throttle and close but is no louder in the cockpit at highway cruise .. the best of both worlds. He also said in January they would have sound clips on their website of the new C 6 exhaust. My vette won't be ready for deliver until the end of Feb that their exhaust and the CAGS eliminator are first on the list. Now the big question HELP as you can see my avator is small. I have followed the instructions and composed it with the proper horizontal and vertical pixel arrangement and not exceeded the total bites and it is a jpeg file but when I try to load it at the normal size I'm told it is too big. I could use some help. Now of all the sports cars I've owned I am most excited about the vette. Take care and Happy New Year Jack

Start with your original image in Microsoft Photo editor, then click where it says IMAGE on the tool bar. Choose RESIZE from the menu, then on the top box that says % reduce the image to a smaller %. Save it as a separate file and then see how big it is using MY COMPUTER. You may have to try it a few times to get it small enough to attach to the avatar, but it will work.
Corsa will probably be on a lot of people's wish list soon.
