Guys, I am, after a long hard decision, trading my 94 for a 2001 coupe. It has been a difficult decision, but one that the wife and I feel is the best move for us. I love my 94, but can't afford to keep it and buy another. I'll keep on maintaining the Z07 Database, unless someone here would like to take on those tasks. I will send the Excel spreadsheets if someone would like to do this.

I'm not going to be a stranger here, just will be spending more time in the C5 section.

Thanks to all who have help me in the past. :w

Thanks, Rabbit. Here's a few pictures of the proposed new ride (I haven't closed the deal yet).

Yea, after I test drove those two in KC a month or so ago, I was pretty much sold. I really like the looks of 94 better and I like the feel of the "cockpit" but as I get older the ease of egress and entry will be better.

To be honest JA, red would not have been my first choice, but this car is beautiful. I haven't had a red car in over thirty years, and it was tough to keep clean, but I didn't have a garage at that time, not the time to really maintain it the way I do today, so I am sure this will be OK

The sill height is what really got me on the C5 band wagon 5 years ago when I bought the 98! I just didn't feel that I could get in and out of the C4 too many times.

Congratulations, Tom! You will really enjoy your new ride!

Whoever ends up with your 94 will get a really nice Vette. You have been meticulous with your maintenance!

WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING YOUR NEW C5, DON'T FORGET TO SAVE THE :w!

Gregory, do want what is left of my red leather dye? There is more than enough to do your seats. PM me your address and I'll send it your way if you want it.

:w

Not going to say I blame you and I agree with Greg, the person who gets your '94 is going to be getting a very nice vette. Best of luck to you trying to sell it on todays market and get out of it close to what it should be worth.

Hehe...I am actually looking at a C5 after only owning my C4 after two months! I feel like I am betraying my C4 because I still love him. But this C5 is sooooooo nice! :D

I wonder if i could use that defense in divorse court :cool

..... as I get older the ease of egress and entry will be better.

That and chronic back problems was the reason I started looking for a C5. Once I made the swap the change was amazing.

Do yourself a favor and get some Zaino. I give my 98 the full treatment once a year, using only the Gloss Enhancer or Clear Seal after washing it in between treatments.

Dirt doesn't stick to it as much and even when it's dirty it still looks great!

Good luck!

The C-5 is a great looking car, seems like there is more of it up against the C-6. I really love them all and don't think I would be unhappy with any of them. Good Luck and enjoy your new ride! :beer

Thanks folks for the encouraging remarks. I'm sure that I'll be happy. It is kind of sad thinking about trading the ole 94 but like Gregory and Charlie have said, someone is going to get a really nice car. Ill move past it like I did the 64, 33 years ago. Never forget, just nice memories. :cool

Actually, buddy, I would really like your seats! Except they are not Collector Edition seats!

I will send you a PM.

WHILE YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR NEW C5, PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE THE :w!

The C5 is just a beautiful car... its not really dated looking... i think 20 years from now it will still be a good looking car.
