My 1996 CE pass. a/c vent is loose and making noise.

Hi,

It seems the sun has warped the corner of the vent and that is causing the vent to vibrate. Can anyone tell me a quick fix for this rattling noise caused by the a/c vents? I've tried pushing back into place with no luck of it staying into place. Any advice would be nice...

The vents can be removed by prying up on the bottom of the small louvered portion in the middle. When that is removed there are a couple of screws holding the vents. Remove them carefully as they are cheap plastic.I had a similiar problem with mine, tho it was very minor. I used some black epoxy on the underside & made a little lip that slid under the dash & held the vent in place. That was about 5 years ago & so far so good. If it's badly warped maybe you can pick one up the junk yard?
