My Big Mouth mod

I wanted to mod out my little jewel but wasn't too impressed with what was out there so I designed and built this air intake scoop. My first time ever working with fiberglass and scheess...what a job....!!! lol....The scoop is functional in that I cut four 3" holes in the hood with fiberglass screen wrapped with door jam molding which won't let any water running back down the hood in, for heat dissipation. It is held on with 4, 5/16" bolts thru the hood for easy installation. I now have a master mold which I can build more from. The job took 1 month 19 days from start to finish. I've only had it on for one day now but man, am I getting some looks....!! lol

It looks like you need a big set of slicks to go along with it. Have you thought about designing a plenum to bond to the underside of the hood that the induction intake can connect to?

Sure, that wouldn't be a problem at all but the limiting factor here is the diamater of the MASS. It's too damn small. If I could find one that's twice as big, slam it right up against the throttle body and go from there. That thing would then suck all the air off the planet....well....not all of it...lol.....

That's kinda the effect I wanted to get with it. People's first question is "What ya got under that hood"? Welp, Stock with a few minor mods. It's still in experimental stage but the looks Iam getting are worth the drive. I've got another design where the mouth is curved like a sharks mouth. I'll probably make that one too and see how that looks.....

Yea, mystery is very powerful. I have not raced any of my buddies and none of them know what I have done to my vette. They all say its slow, and I am like yea, well maybe it isnt so stock .

I like my stock looking 86 but not alot of racers on this island and they all know my car.

All they say is I've seen you at the track.
What you should do is put one of the three tubed intakes on the throttle body when the engine is running it sounds like a jet plane:cool .
