Well as you know I just got my LT4 and I love it! Got a question though....I live in Phx, Az and it is summer time and hot as hell..110+. My girl and I were driving around yesterday ( w/ the a/c on of course) and the car was running fine although the temp ( digital gauge) was reading 235 or so. It would go down a bit once I got on the highway but in town it would stay in that general vicinity. I've heard about the reprogrammer and all that but to be honest right now(if possible) I can't afford to put another cent into the car. This morning heading to work (temp outside around 90) it ran nice and cool. With it being that hot here in the summer is it to be expected that my temp should be reading that high? The highest it got was 236 and it would fall to around 231. Thought I'd ask you guys and see what you thought. The car was just serviced and all the fluid levels are fine. Should I be concerned? One other thing...Sat night out of nowhere the check engine soon light came on and stayed on...although when I drove the car Sat morning it was on for a few minutes and then went off and I haven't seen it since. STRANGE! The car is running @#$#@! strong as hell and it seems perfectly fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. THX :)

Your temps are in line with most stock LT4's - they run hot. I don't know on the check engine light - I've never got one yet on mine.

Thx Pal...That is what the dealer said although he did tell me to bring it by and they would take a look as well as run a scan to see if they can figure out why the light came on. Hey ...I just bought it so it's on them. By the way, nice exhaust. I need to do that to my ride. What's an approximate cost?

It's a Corsa exhaust, about $800 - group sales happen sometimes - think I got it from ZIP Products. I love it, the look, sound, NO resonance!

Good to know cuz I'm not too impressed w/ the stock setup. You can only really "hear" it when you get on it. What is included in the $800 and what did it cost for install?

I tried to attach a pic but the forum software will only allow the same pic in one thread. See if you can find the thread on 2/16/04 called "Help with exhaust choice" There's a pic there of the whole system (cat back) laid out on my garage floor. I installed it myself (jack stand mechanic) zero cost.

Everything fit PERFECTLY, no cuts, bends, welds, and it's still in perfect alignment & no rattles:). Just follow the directions.

Thx Froggy47... I'll have to take a look cuz that sounds reasonably affordable. I don't only want to "feel" the power, I want to "hear" it!

So...I clicked on the link and that looks exactly like what I want. Am I worthy of the install? I guess I'll have to find out. With my chrome wheels it will be a match made in heaven! Still gotta post a pic for all to see...this babes a beaut!
But...I guess you already know that cuz you have the same car!!!
