It has been a while since last post,I thought I would let all the CAC friends that helped and supported my quest to find my 57.know what has transpired.Well, every turn was a brick wall,I have extinguished every avenue and then some, even contacted a private PI.So,at the present the only thing that might show up is some form of documentation, which my family in Kansas still may run across.I miss being here, lurk every now and then. Thanks again CAC,and friends here for the support.Oh,I am shopping for a 63-67,haven't pulled the trigger yet. Will let you all know.JD

Love '57...

I was hoping that you'd eventually run that 57 down. I assume that you aren't giving up totally, but the mid year is something to "keep you busy". :w

You'll have some info dropped in your lap when you least expect it! That seems to be how it goes...no giving up allowed!

SebringBill, how ya doin, that's a fine 57.After a year of up's & down's,I realize that the only hope left is something that may,as you say, drop in my lap when you least expect it,I agree, time will tell. And yes, giving up is not allowed. Not to worry. To much invested for that to happen.I am seriously shopping a 63-67 at present. Thanks for the interest and support Bill.Vett people hard to beat.JD

My first Corvette was a 1960, at the time I was in HS and worked at a salvage yard which was owned by a bud's father. I married two cars to make one. Another bud painted it to match, although it was close it wasn't correct. In addition, I swapped the engine for a 327, and added a positraction pumpkin.
To make a long story short; in the late 1970s, I saw a 1960 Corvette in the parking lot at work, the color caught my eye and a closer look showed something I did. The owner walked up and asked if I liked her Corvette; I answered actually I was curious if she liked mine. ;)
A while later, her, her husband and I had a Q&A session.

The morale of the story is don't give up.

Good luck with your quest.

kpic,I believe this is the first time we have met.I have been at this for a year know, with no intention of raising the white flag. That is pretty cool how you ran into your 60 in a parking lot.I left mine in 73 in Missiouri and have been in Louisiana for 36 yr's.The odds of that happening to me on my 57,slim to none. But you never know.Hey cool story,Thanks for the post kpic.I will stay after it.JD
