No engine, suspension, frame pictures?

Is it the original engine?

What do you mean by numbers matching if it's been rebuilt/restored/new starter etc?

The ride height looks high in the front. Was there some work done?

C3 Corvettes don't have drum brakes.

Aside from that a sharp looking car!:beer

Thanks Mikey! I'm not mechanically inclined, I just know the breaks were all new and it cost me $1,500 bones! ;) And I didn't think of the engine pictures, its not the original engine. But pics are a good idea. Thanks for the advice man, I really appreciate it!

Drink Heavily!!!:boogie:boogie:boogie I'm sorry man I just can't do any good with E-Bay!!!I get better bids at the Dealers Auctions!!:upthumbs

Yes I’m with Mikey on pictures of the engine compartment and at least a description of the frame (Rust no Rust, Surface Rust Only etc.) and any modifications or new parts to the suspension because of the ride height. Anyone that knows older Corvettes will defiantly ask about rust known areas in these cars so just be prepared for rust questions, I know I would ask them. Also I would remove the numbers matching part in your description as this too you’re going to get hammered on and may loose a sale because of that statement. Overall, a nice looking C3 Corvette.
Good Luck,
Brian

Hey guys, I took off the matching numbers statement, added a photo of the engine, described the frame, changed the bit about the breaks. And added a photo with the hood up, just cause it looks cool :)

Thanks again for all of your help guys, I really appreciate it! When the batmobile sales you guys come out to Salt Lake and I'll take ya all to dinner!

Its an awesome car, Ebay just has a lot and most of which are under 10K, but don't run like a dream like this one. Let me know if anything else catches your attention.

My 2 cents parallels others. I like lots of big pictures for big ticket items. Frame shots, detail pictures etc.

self hosted pictures are better than ebays service. especially for red items. ebay's bit splitting program can make a red car look really crappy really fast.

the only other thing I would have done was to have a low opening bid with a reserve price and a buy it now price. that would generate bids and you could guage the current market. Expect to list it a couple 2 or 3 times to get the money it deserves.

I'm not an expert in autos, but with a 2600 rating (funnybug) , I've been on the bay a while and know what works for me.

I agree......I have sold a number of things on ebay, not 2600 mind you, but I am 154 100% positive. Pbcanney is right, you have to get people bidding. If its an item that I want a ceertain price for, I use that price for a reserve, I start the bidding at a low number, say $2000, and if I have a but-it -now....I try and keep it about 20% higher that the reserve.

The other thing I noticed, your pics seem a little "fuzzy". For a high dollar item, get them clearer.

to get REAL nit picky... What I don't like are the interior pictures.

for 1.. lose the stinky tree

and to me, the interior has that JDByrider "we just Armor-Alled the crap outa this baby" look to it.

black interiors (to me anyways) should be a semi gloss at best.

When you reshoot the interior pictures, pop the t tops off in overcast natural light. Do not use a flash, as it will just create bright spots. Wipe all the black down with a clean towel. The leather looks unatural in these shots.

Don't take offense to my remarks :mad as they are not to belittle. You asked....

Here's a picture from a similar listing that somewhat resembles what I'm suggesting

GOOD LUCK! -Paul

What year are you looking for?
I have a 1972 and a 1974 for sale.

Don't want to beat a Dead Horse but I looked at the EBay listing and the first thing that catches my eye is "Stingray". The 79 is not a "Stingray". A high "Buy it Now" price for a Vette that is less than original. I wouild love to know how this goes seeings how I own an original documented 79. Good Luck to you...

Technically all the C3 generation cars 1968 through 1982 were patterned after Chevrolet’s Mako Shark II design. Even though I don’t class my 1977 as a stingray or even go as far as calling it a shark I have on many occasions had complements from people telling me it’s a nice stingray. So my feelings are if the general public still recognizes the later C3 generation cars as Stingray or Sharks so be it, or maybe it could be when the change was made from the flat rear window to the bubble rear window where people make the difference between a Corvette or a Corvette Stingray.
Maybe a good discussion for a new topic if one has not been started yet?

The Stingray Badge was removed in 1977. In my opinion, if it was not badged as a Stingray then it is not a Stingray. Just like you, I have had several compliments such as "Shark" and "Stingray". But I think an informed public might determine things a little differently like me and many others. There have been a couple of posts and a poll talking about this very topic. Very intresting conversations.

And I thought the last yr for the Stingray "Badge" ( on the side of the car )was 1975 .....
Thanks for the info .....

I just hope he isn't humming the theme to Batman whenever he's driving it... :rotfl
I think you are on to something...

Maybe an ad should be a lot like selling a house. I've often heard that you should paint a house with neutral colors so you let others see themselves in it and not you.

The whole Batman thing might be like that. I'd lose that and post as many tasteful shots as possible where a prospect can see themselves in the car as opposed to a marketing tactic (Batman).

now the owners of these two should have the keys taken away and be forced to drive KIAs for the rest of their lives....

wait....

it gets worse....
