Hola Folks,
Need a ground wire from a 75-82 for the tail lamp bulb socket, the little clip like terminal on mine broke in half, so i'd like to just find a replacement terminal i can splice onto the existing wire. Anyone around Ann Arbor have one?

Thanks,
Chad

not that it directly answers your request, but you can get a complete replacement socket (with wires) from ecklers, corvette central and dr rebuild that i know of (i had to replace a missing one on my car so i had to find one, lol). i decided that for the couple of bucks it was worth using a brand new one instead of a sued one i could have found at a salvage yard.

Thanks, i thought of that, ecklers is 17$ plus shipping and my local GM deal has one which is 23$. My sockets are in decent shape, and i'd rather put that 20 into something else, my car need plenty of work. I was able to fix it for the time being. Tin foil and duct tape!!!

i understand the $$ , lol!! i just figured that a new one was worth it in terms of not having to deal with it for a long time if it was a new replacement, lol!! ecklers is usually on the pricey side. did you check your local auto parts store. i know down here (south florida) the auto zone stores have a whole "wall" of sockets and pigtails. admittedly, i never went over to check out if they had what i needed, but perhaps they might have what you need at a much better price. i did use autozone to replace the alternator connector (plug) with the correct one and they were about 60% of the cost of other places i had checked. i would think that NAPA would also have what you need at a better price, too. good luck
