I bought the 91-96 front bumper kit from Ecklers to install on my 1985. Ecklers has been very little help.
First I was going to reuse the 85 style fog lamps. I called Ecklers to find out if they can be fitted to look more flush mounted like the 91-96 lamps. They said yes, but they had to send me brackets/adapters. I have waited a month, called several times, and still don't have the brackets/adapters they said I need.
I decided to buy the 91-96 fog lamps figuring it will look better anyway. Well, now I am trying to figure out how to mount these lamps onto the 85 bumper reinforcement. The bracket bolt holes don't align and the lamp is a couple of inches shorter than the 85 lamps.
My question is how do you mount 91-96 fog lamps on an 85? Please be as specific as you can. If someone could post or send me the directions from a conversion they did, that would be great.
I am very dissappointed in Ecklers. They didn't send what I needed and now stick me in voice mail every time I call.
