I have a 68 with a worn out brake lamp switch. Finding a replacement switch has proved to be difficult. It is not a usual brake lamp switch as it is has a shaft mounted lever on it which contacts the brake pedal arm. I would appreciate any help or leads on a source for a replacement.

Thanks (in advance)

Larry,
I spent months searching for one and the only one I saw was on e-Bay I think and it was close to 100 bucks!
The part has been discontinued by ACDelco and I doubt we will ever see one again.
I modified mine (for now) by installing a '69 switch on a homemade bracket. My intent is to secure bracketry from a '69 (switch holder and pedal striker) and complete the mod. I know it's ridiculous but I'm not paying 100.00 for a switch when the newer ones cost about 5 bucks.
If you run across a source please let me know.

Thanks
