does any one know what tool to use to crimp that ring that conects the cat convertor to the air pump hose?

That ring is the biggest PITA ever. I couldn't get it to crimp on the headers, yes I did not have that tool either, so I just used a hose clamp...

And then it was always fun when it blew off....haha

A cable clamp might work, is it flanged?

i have used them nippers alot when i was working at syncrude
and thanks others that replyed
 
If you are talking about connecting the metal line to the Cat (which is a metal line) right at the Cat. I used a metal compression fitting from a local plumbing store, I don't remember the size but it worked great, and was nice and tight.
