HD congrats drive the car then come back and tell us how you feel about it. I get more comments about my 76 then I do about the 97. There is something timeless about the body lines of a Stingray. Bring it to Cruise-fest.

Thanks Heidi. The pics are the last ones I posted here. I look at this car the other day and really like it. I guess I'll now have to sell the '86 since I now have 3.

Thanks Boss vette. I too like the body lines. The guy i am buying the car from showed several times last year and got a couple of trophys with it. If I keep this car I'll be selling my '86 as I think this is the better of the 2 cars.

Now you're going to have to remember there's ~another 3 feet of car beyond what you can see, H.D.!
I remember the first time I got in mine. It felt like I was sitting in a race car. Felt that way when I drove it too!:D
Congrats again. I can't wait to see it, H.D.. -John

congrats on the pace car,HD!!!!!:upthumbs

Thanks Guys. I was so excited yesterday I almost forgot I had a tax appointment. Gotta pay Uncle Sam a little more to make him happy. I'm heading over today to settle up with the guy. I'll take more pics today.

Just got back from settling up. Here are a few pics. It was looking like rain so we didn't take the car out of the garage.

Geez H.D., that car is beautiful. It certainly doesn't look like a car with 77k on the clock. The previous owner obviously took very good care of it. That's really nice. -John

Oh yea. Last year he had the radio/CB repaired in it, new tires, and new stainless exhaust. From what i could see he took very good care of it. When I went to look at it last week (before I started bidding on it) we pulled out it out of the garage. It started to sleet a little and he rushed to put it back into the garage. didn't want it to get wet.

I know it does have some miles on it but I don't think the miles are too excessive. Like I said before it does have a few small issues (Valve cover leak, small tear in the Drivers door panel at the bottom, could use some engine detailing). But I feel those can be remedied rather easily. Heck, it will give me something to do in the evenings this spring and summer. As you know Saturdays may be already booked up:). I'll know more about it when i get the chance to get underneath it.

Funny, yesterday my next door friend (john) and I drove our Mustangs over to this guy's house so i could settle up him. He just about fell over when two Mustangs pulled into his driveway:L. He really liked my friends Mustang. i'll send you some pics of it to night when I get home.

I can now see why everyone really likes these cars. The curves in the hood and such make this car look really cool.

What amazes me the most, it's not that you library old articles and maintain it, e.g. history, facts and information about Corvettes, it's how you can find it and post it. With such a corpus amount of information, I find that truely amazing :dance ;)
