its been a few years since I sold my 1968 bbc corvette and I know how things change fairly fast so I need some valid advise on resoring a bbc 1974 corvette!

what companys have good prices and quality parts for a 1974 bbc corvette restoration?

what catalogs to order?

what books give good restoration info? pictures? vacume line diagrams? parts #s and all other valid restoration info?

Price wise, I like Willcox for little stuff, Fastcorvette.com for suspension and drivetrain (stock stuff), and eBay for the off the wall kind of stuff.

Dr. Rebuild is an excellent source for vacuum kits and diagrams. I'd get his catalog as he sells tons of hard to find parts. Prices are pretty reasonable. Corvette Central has a great catalog for pics, but I've had problems with their reproduction interior pieces fitting right. Al Knoch has great interior packages that fit pretty well.

Zip products, Mid America Designs, Ecklers, all have great catalogs. Zip will even offer a 10% discount (at least to corvetteforum members...not sure about CAC members).

Vette Brakes Products, Van Steel and Blairs are excellent sources for suspension and drivetrain parts. As I said before, Fastcorvette.com does first class work and has probably the cheapest prices on the internet. They don't have a catalog, but their website does a pretty good job of displaying thier wares.

I'm sure I've slighted a multitude of the other quality vendors out there, but these are the ones that come to mind right now. Scour eBay and you'll find that several vendors sell items there as well.
