I replaced my LF sensor - the band broke when the tire was rotated. The LPTWS light is now out. Do I need to reset anything? The "Tire low" never came on just Service LPTWS - no signal detected.

Thanks

Anyone need a LF sensor - you'll have to get a band from Corvette Salvage or wherever? The tire store - Costco - had to buy the band/sensor as a unit so I've got a spare.

You will have to ground pins 5 to 6 at the DLC. Turn ignition "on" & ground/flash the pins 3 times within 10 seconds to clear codes.

If you have been successful both lights will come "on", LPTWS & Low tire, & then go out when the ignition is turned "off".

Thanks Rabbit

Froggy,

Do you know if yours and a 92 are the same? I have a broken sensor housing, the circuit board and band are good. I would be interested in buying your old one, if I can make a good set out of all the pieces.

I'll get the info off it & post it. I don't know for sure the compatibility re: 92 to 96.

Here's a pic :

Cheap camera can't focus up close.
GM p/n 8895946
Label p/n L88959446G
Factory position LF

TX serial no. LF002560

Hi Rabbit,

Does that clear ALL LPTWS and Low Tire codes or just LPTWS?

A low tire does set a code, however, it will be erased after the ignition is cycled
(off & then on) & proper tire pressures are sent to the receiver.

:_rock Thanks Rabbit,

I nominate you for the LPTWS expert!

Thanks Froggie,

It does not look like mine. The one I have is an injection molded housing with a board, that snaps into it

No Problem, sorry wasn't the correct part:)
