new 2006 C6

I have/ had a 2005 convertible on order since last November. Everytime my dealer had a order for a convertible there was always a color or option not availalbe. I gave up in April and decided to wait for the 2006 production.

Does anyone know when they will shut down 2005 production and start 2006?
Does anyone know what the 2006 options will be? I have seen some info that puts everything into two or three "packages" so you may end up with on-star and satilite radio if you want the nav system and hud.

Any info appreciated. Thanks

I think the last orders for 2005 are mid July, and then the first orders for 2006's can be made.

And I have all the options for 2005, so don't be bothered with the "threat" of packages. They are just fine.

Production of 2006 C6 will not begin until the first week of Sept. Orders can be made the end of July however.
Options have been listed on many forums. Of course two new colors, six speed auto tranny with paddle shifters, new 3-spoke steering wheel, available chrome wheels, hidden XM antenna, updated software for On-Star and the Nav system.
Enjoy the wait, I am doing the same.

I completely agree!! The 06 will be a much better Vette than the 05. Just look back at the changes between the 84 and 85. I have also heard that they are running the 05's later into the summer and starting the 06 in the fall.

Oh I can picture that!!! The only problem is that the interior has to be ALL white. Some vette interiors are a "hodgepodge" of color.
