Nice, but too bad it only goes back to 1980 :(

tom...
Tom, let me find out from them if we can get it to go back farther. I'll reply back here.

Why is it when I go to the Tire Rack, I get exactly ONE option for wheels and tires for my 88 coupe? I realize that I have the :cry 'standard' 16" wheels, but shouldn't it give me a way to look for at least 17's? Am I doing something wrong?

I just tried it and I got more options. I got:

Original Equipment 255/50-16

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Equipment Optional 275/40-17

Sorry, Rob, I guess I could have been a little more precise and I know the matter would be better taken up with Tire Rack, but...

Yes, I see the same two options for tires, but WHEELS gives me exactly one option - AT Italia Riva 2pc in either 18x8.5 @ $319 or 18x9.5 @ $379. No options at all for 16s or 17s. Doesn't seem to matter which way I search or filter, that's all I can come up with.

I first noticed this a few years ago when they went on-line and basically just gave up. Just seems a little strange for a company that buys pages upon pages of advertising space in ALL the magazines showing tires and wheels of every shape, size and colour. It must be me...

Does the 88 have some kind of strange bolt spacing or offset or something I'm not aware of? :confused

PS Let me know if there's a better/more appropriate place to discuss this. Thx.

Nope. It's ok to discuss it here.

Unfortunately, I don't know if I can be of anymore help though. :(
