I purchased 2 new deluxe panels from Al Knoch for my 76. I put all my original trim on them, but there are not any mounting holes drilled in the panels!!! Is this something I need to take to an interior shop to have installed? If so, does anyone know of a reputable shop in the Cleveland Ohio Area?

Many Thanks!

On my 77 I had to make the new holes and transfer the clips, just used my old panels as a guide. Wouldnt think you need to go to uph.shop, just take your time and dont get in a hurry.

Hi John,

I was able to put my original trim and wood grain insert in the panel, and
they too look great. Now for my quandary. There are
not any holes in the panels to screw them in!
I want it to look factory. He told me you don't need
to screw the new ones in, just use the clips.

I had to take out (2) screws at the top. One near the
end of the door, and the other closer to the hing end
of the door. Are these original positions? I don't
have a diagram to see which are original.

The clips are no problem, but there is a screw in the
carpet part of door panel (see picture). It does not
look like it belongs there. Can you confirm that!

When drilling the new panels, can you lay the old one
over top the new and use a pen to mark the holes? Is
that the best way to mark the holes?

If you could PLEASE help me with this I would GREATLY
appreciate it!

Thanks!

Chris
