Called GY customer service and complained about the wear on the fronts (at 13k miles) - and got some relief (50%) on the replacements so now I have new front GY's. The rears were replaced right before I bought it so they are prretty new also. Hopefully these will last longer...... Saved about $600 on the deal. I was going to go with the Bridgestones if GY hadn't come through. Hopefully the redesigned tire for 2011 will be better. "Turn the radio up honey I can't hear it for the tire noise!" Soom Zoom! What a Beazt!

I got 29,500 miles on my GY tires on the 02 coupe and 24,500 on the 02 Z06 GY SC tires. Replaced the coupe's tires with Michelin A/S run flats (guaranteed for 40K miles) and they are great. Replaced the Z06 tires with Bridgestone Potenzas and they are terrific so far. Hopefully I will get between 24,500 and 29,500 on the 08 GY run flats. I don't want to replace tires for another 5 years or so - this past 2 months was expensive, 2corvettes and one blazer. Glad GY took care of you to some extent.

Where did you start your complaint? tire dealer or GY corporate? I just past the 14k mile mark on my 08 with EMT F1 Supercars, not much tread left on the fronts.

I went to GY Customer Service - got the number off the internet, just Google that and you'll find all the info you need. I didn't write it down or I'd just give it to you. They will call the GY dealer near you that is certified for run flat service and direct you to take your car there where that dealer will look at your tires to be sure you haven't abused them by, for instance over inflating or underinflating. They then cal CS back and conmfirm the arrangements. CS has to authorize it. YOu could probably start out at your dealer and get to the same spot. GY seems to be pretty good about acknowledging it has a wear issue.

If I did the math correctly (saved 50% on two front tires, saving you $600.00) that comes out to $600.00 each for Goodyear runflat front tires on and '08 Z06? Those are expensive tires.

Half price was $227 each and yes, they are expensive. Savings was more like $500. Forgot my paying for mounting, balancing and a full alignment. Taxes here are 9-1/2 percent.

My experience with the GY Supercar tire is that they wear out fast and 13K miles on a set is actually pretty good unless you never, never brake hard, accelerate hard or turn hard. The 'regular' GY tires last a lot longer but don't provide as much traction.

The ZO6 is a Super Car and it gets the Supercar tires. They stick like glue on dry pavement but that also means that they leave some of that expensive rubber on the pavement.

If you turn your car at all, keep an eye on the inside edges of your front tires!(A real alignment can fix this.) I'm on my 3rd set of tires @ 39,000 miles. No burnouts/drifting, but I do turn my car.
