No,Never got a bad set of injectors from Jon or Jon,Always been a perfect set!!:thumb
Pull the rubber hose off the fuel pressure regulator and see if there is raw fuel in the hose,If so the regulator is bad!!:thumb

regulator is good and new so is pump and filter, im putting in a new set tomorrow to see how it goes, i think i fluid locked one of the cylinders it whirled over a few times the other day and then stopped and wouldnt crank.. should i take the plugs out and whirl it over or do you think the fuel has evaporated and seeped down enough over a 36 hr time? thanks guys

stuck

i bought a set from Summit once and had the same problem. turned out to be my tank was full of sediment and my rail was filled with crap. Had a couple stuck open. But you are lucky to have a good company to help you. Summit basically told me they could not help and i had to buy another set. :(

well jon hooked me up with another set and the fuel smoke is fixed i also put new plugs in it however, now when i start it after its been sitting it starts a little diffrent and i dont like it...instead of firing right up it stumbles/idles up from a low very low idle start, almost as if it is getting more fuel at start up, maybe a little to much....any of you encounter this problem? it seems to idle roughly in gear almost lik a wire is arking but i cant see that that is happening

Exactly what part number injectors did you buy from FIC? I bought 2 sets from Jon and they worked great.

the second set he sent me were much better, i believe i had dirt in there and it crudded up the injector (my fault not his) and he still sent me another set very very very good people if you ask me, but i just now reset my ecm (i also installed a new MAF) so well see how it does, if it doesnt fix it i guess my next step short of hooking it to a scanner would be to trade in for a :pukeChevette....little bit of chevelle little bit of vette...:chuckle
the car still hauls A** and will spank my friends WS6 but at idle it just seems a tad bit jerky i cant stand it lol maybe this problem is coming from my MAF ENDS? THANKS GUYS! :w

Probly will till the ECM relearns all the parameters,Might take as much as 30-60 miles of normal driving!!:thumb

I know you said previously you had installed new "MAF" ends, but now you are saying that you installed a new "MAF" too? If this is the case and you installed a new MAF (not the ends), then you may need a little tuning done to smooth out the idle. MAF's can be 25 ~ 35% off compared to each other. A new Bosch MAF was installed in an '87 Camaro I bought and I had to retune the air calibration because it was way off (lean).

A couple of miles of road testing will not do anything for you. Got to drive it for 50-100 miles. All kinds of accelerating, idling, cruising. Put that baby through its paces! :upthumbs

Then, report back to us! :thumb

WHILE ROAD TESTING YOUR FIC INJECTORS, BE SURE TO SAVE THE :w!

yes i did install both new MAF and Ends,

When I started to modify my '92 LT1, the idle was the first thing I noticed that needed retuning. Even though the '92 LT1 is a "MAP" system (versus MAF / MAF-MAP), it is very particular about idle settings. Seems like the PCM cannot adjust, for idle, too easily at low air flows like idle. I eventually got the idle correct (smooth), but I had to burn a few EEPROMS and data log. (FYI - I took out the OE UV PROM and converted it to EEPROM)

i put the stock injectors back in and it cleared up the starting issue and helped the idle a lot:) i believe i had a vaccum leak around one of the injectors it wasnt sealed correctly in my intake but i went ahead and put the stock ones back in...anybody know what else could cause a rough idle?

Did you change oil after you hydro locked the cylinder? You have gas in your oil and thats hard on rings & bearings.

How far have you driven the car??:confused

The 92-93 LT1 is a speed density system.

MAP = Manifold (Intake) Air Pressure = Speed Density = Vacuum drop or increase determines amount of fuel to add to engine :thumb

MAF = Manifold (Intake) Air Flow = Temperature of heated electrical wire is used to determine amount of air flowing into Intake Manifold / Then amount of fuel to add is determined according to amount of air flow

WHILE TEST DRIVING YOUR VETTE, BE SURE TO SAVE THE :w!

i did change the oil, and drove the car about 70 miles
