Hello. My name is Barry and I live in East Ridge, TN, outside of Chattanooga and a mile from the GA line. I am 47 and work in a new car dealership parts dept. I have owned 114 cars, from Caddies to VW's, including 14 Camaros, 6 Firebirds, 3 Novas, 2 Stangs, Charger, Road Runner, and a slew of muscle, sports, and luxury cars. This is my second Vette, the first being a 80 Red/Black leather automatic. This one is an 84 Z51 4+3, White/Red leather, 112k. I bought it earlier this year for $3500. I always wanted a white/red 4 speed Corvette. Found it on Ebay. My son and I drove 90 miles to get it the next morning. Runs great, paint is good from 10 ft (has a few bubbles), could use weatherstrips and seatcovers. They have the color rubbed off in a couple of spots, but not torn. There are a few more pics in the "Show your C4" posts. It has more rattles than a snakepit, squeaks more than a cheap hotel room bed on a Saturday night, and rides like a Radio Flyer wagon, but I love driving this car! I like the "fighter jet feel" as some have called it, and it handles sooo good. I have had faster cars, prettier cars (bunch of trophies), and more expensive cars, but I love the way this car feels. I have driven C3 and C5's but I like the looks of the C4 best. Love the clamshell. Just though I'd say hi. Thanks.
