Changing the fuel/overdrive relays in my "scooter". Connector was fried. Bought a new one but pigtails are white. How do I tell which wire goes where on the relay?

What color was the old one; red and black? Nothing marked on the pig tail either like a little tag? I would go back to where ever you bought it maybe with the old one and say; what is the skinny here? No instruction sheet in the box? Sometimes I'm digging in the trash for this too!! :L
