Hey guys! My name is Philip Darby. I figured I should go ahead and introduce myself even though I don't have a Corvette yet. I am currently 17 years old and living in Upstate South Carolina. I hope to be able to buy a 1976 Corvette Stingray (that I've wanted since age 10) over the summer. Just introducing currently!

Looks like you found the makings of a nice Stingray with some work and tender loving care It needs to be brought back to it's days of luster and performance. . . . . A real classic you found here Phillip. Looks like it needs someone to rescue it and get it on the road to breath. Did you buy it or still negotiating?

I plan to buy it over the summer. I'm currently making carpenter bee traps to sell at a local hardware store to help out. I'm going to try to get the price down about 500 dollars, but either way it's a fair price.

Is it driveable? I believe so, but the plates expired in 2012, so I can assume it needs an oil change and whatnot. It has a flat upfront too.

So, while working at Ingles, I began a mental list of parts and whatnot. Does anyone know what the average price of a paint job and clear coat is?
