if you look closely at the front clip closeup you can see the clear coat peeling. this is all getting fixed this weekend. dropping the car off tomorrow :D

then new tires with my 11x17" rear black Amolds 9.5x17 up front, new emblems/outer window sill gasket, tint andn i've decided to go with black GS stripes.

what do you guys think?

Very sweet! Those rims are looking pretty good. I have always like that style for some reason. It is a good looking car Mic, not that I am a little partial to that year...:D I can't wait to see pics after the paint.

i was hoping to drop it off tonight. we shall see because i just got my chambered muffler eliminators in today and i need to get them put on so i can do emissions. (i'm already late)

but new paint, (same color) black gs stripes, tint, and new outer window gaskets. i can't wait! :D

They just did a wonderful article in either Corvette Magazine or Corvette Fever on prepping your car to be painted. There is a lot of work that has to be done!

How much lighter is this going to make your wallet, Mic?

sinistr

Interesting.
There is an all black vette that prowls the streets of fort myers beach florida that has the same plate. And it is one mean vette.

But the pics are good. barely notice the paint problem.

if i told you you'd hate me :L

1k to fix the front, top where the targa and rear hatch, and rear clip and damage.

get it back tuesday but here is the rear 1/4 panel damage. i asked him how much to do the whole car and he said he didn't want to do it. the rest of the car is in great shape and he said if you paint them sometimes by building paint up on the fiberglass it could crack the paint so i took his recommendation since he's been doing this over 30 years. so basically the whole rear and front clip both up to the doors and blended.

can't wait to get her back and add my new rims and order the new tires :)

i've had that name for about 20 years. it was my ninja's name in D&D then in my online shooter games i use that name for the last 6 years online.

my yahoo and aim name is EvilSinistR :cool

and since once i get her done with Black A Mold ZR1 rims with 315 DR's out back on the 11x17's with black tail light leuvers, 20% tint, GS Stripes, and fresh paint she should have a pretty Evil Stance! i call her Sweet Sin if you ever visit my Cardomain you'd know why ;)

Are you going to get rid of your other rims??

nope. they are mint! i will pull the tires off the rims and do a professional polishing job on them. all the other times i did it while the rims were on the car with tires so this way i can get them like chrome.

Those rims are in excellent condition, thats why I asked. Mine are all gubered up from the previous owner hitting curbs... and I have one rim that likes to lose air when it is cold...

page Rich Rubel rrubel he has a full set like this that needs to be stripped and prepped alittle. i think they were in decent shape besides the clear coat. just alittle road rash.

100 bucks plus shipping including center caps.

we bought them to split for drag radials but i bought a set of ZR1 rims and got another set of 11x17" ZR1 rims and gave those to Rich along with a set of used 315/35/17" DR's :)
