Finally got new remote oil lines on, curing a few leaks, as the elbows I needed to circumnavigate the long-tubes are gone. These are 'killer' lines, very high pressure and temperature tolerant.

This is a first for me, with two-piece, NPT fittings used on hydraulic hoses. The first part reverse-screws onto the outside of the steel-mesh-embedded, reinforced hose. The second piece has a long, tapered 'snout', which enters the hose, then really snugs up with the fine-threads connecting to the first piece. Pricey, but very professional; very tight.

As these lines snake though the (wrapped) headers to the frame-mounted (and shielded) remote filter, I also got 2' of thermo wrap tubing for these lines, which is stainless steel safety-wired in place. It took three PITA, chilly floor, dirty, arm wrenching reinstalls to get everything in place.

Ken's comments about oil pans got me looking about, and I found that there are many designs for the remote blocking plates, some with side discharge, etc. One need not be saddled with the standard, if cheaper, down-discharge type. Problem is, with the factory oil cooler and the flared oil pan, NO filter will just spin on. Also, the headers are RIGHT THERE.

Also found a bolt missing, and more loose, at the rear CAT flange. Wow, the car is much quieter, but still has a no-BS sound! Gotta love them Flowmasters!!!!

Cool......most of the oil leaks are gone!
