I have changed the spark plugs on my 1999 Corvette several times. The one on the driver's side, rear, is the most difficult. A double-swivel spark plug socket is helpful.

I also purchase an A.I.R. gasket (GM part #12553617 - about $1.25) and remove the A.I.R. pipe where it bolts to the LH exhaust manifold (easy - two bolts). I move this pipe out of the way and it makes removal of the spark plug in question much easier. I do not reuse the gasket, but use the new one.

Good luck. It is not that hard.

Also....pull off the vacuum hose from the brake booster, and push it out of the way......to better access the driver's side plugs.

Have fun, it's easy! :D
