new tires for 1979

We need to finalize our total restoration with 4 new tires for our 1979. 225/70/R15. We've seen alot of Goodyear Eagle GTII on 79's but the reviews for these tires at the tirerack website are pretty bad. The best ones are Firestone Firehawk or BF Goodrich. Let me know what you guys are riding on and what's good and what's bad? Thanks. Bill

Firestone Firehawk

I've been using the FF SS10 (discontinued) and SS20 series tires for 10 years and have been very happy. They ride nice, have good grip and last a good while with an economical pricetag.

I've been very pleased with the BFG Radial T/A's on my 81. Good ride, quiet, they have been on for about 10,00 miles and still look brand new.
