congrats......I'm hoping to trade my c4 also but the dealers up here don't want to give me much for my C4.How'd you make out with the trade?

Looks good bro. Love the no BSM'ings, definately the way to go. Flip the visors down next time you take the top off, then lower it two inches and your perfect.

Warren, I know you miss your C4. I would too, particularly with all the modifications you'd done to it. But I gotta tell ya, that is one beautiful C5 you have there!

I think you and your new coupe just need to get to know each other. Spend some quality time together before you start diving in and making any mods to it. Take it for a long drive to your favorite vacation spot, and get to see what you like about it from that drive and what you might want to change. Above all, note how others on the road react to it- that may begin to help you over your buyer's remorse.

Enjoy! :)

I got a good price for my C4, thats what prompted the purchase. Mileage is what the key factor is. I also found a dealer that sold many used Corvettes including C4s, so i had a clue. Some places like Kerbecks will give you 10 grand for a car that goes on their lot for 22 grand. AND they will make it like they are doing you a favor.

Bonding with your Vette is a VERY good thing! Every Corvette owner should make an effort to experience some "zen" time with their ride.

Good luck with the new website, Warren! Make sure you create a guest book so we can all post in and tell you (again) what a great looking coupe you have. :D

Great looking machine!

Hi Warren

I just noticed today that you now have a C5 and in the perfect color! I'm really jealous because that is my plan to trade up to a C5. I will start looking over the winter months so that l can get a good deal on a C5.

My 96 is really trouble free, the only trouble that l have is myself.

Again, l love the red coupe so that l can take my wife and dog with me.

Did you trade it in locally or did you have to travel?

Good Luck

Alan

My club held a Corvette day at Englishtown Raceway this past Saturday and l saw or noticed nobody from this forum.

Alan -

I traded my C4 in at Classic Chevrolet in Moorestown NJ. I felt they gave me a good price for my C4 and a fair price for a low miles C5. I was not really into the bright Torch Red, but being as that so many C5s are used as a daily driver the real issue in buying one used is finding one in the condition you want (as near to perfect) more so than the color / option choice.

If you can - drive a C5 for more than a few minutes before giving up the C4. I am really missing my C4.

I was out going on a long trip on Saturday with the car, getting to know it. We are planning on goin to Boothbay Harbor Maine at the end of August or i would have been at Raceway Park last Saturday.

Beautiful color! Hope you don't mind if I use this awesome picture as my new wallpaper! I just traded in my C4 also. Enjoy that C5!

Maine trip!!

Funny you should mention Maine because l am going up there Aug 30th thru Sept 2 and will stay longer if l like it.

We will be at the Oakes in Bar Harbor, next to Acadia National Park.

Maybe we can team up if the dates match up.\

I was away when you started this thread so I just saw it today. Congrats on the C5! I wish I had been able to buy your C4 from you for my wife but that purchase will have to wait until next year.

Classic Chev in Moorestown is the one right on Rt. 38 next door to the mall isn't it?

Maybe - I will be way south of Bar Harbor, but we usually go there for at least a day.

Warren, congrats on the C5. What options do you have on it? Stick, auto, Z51, performance axle? Give us the details. :)

Also, what is it about the C4 that you miss?

Leon
