(sorry, I posted this to the wrong forum. was supposed to go to the general discussion)

hey everyone,
This is my first post to the site.
This past thanksgiving I purchased my brother in laws 1987 black t-top vette from my hometown in connecticut and drove her down to florida where she resides today. She received the name roxanne on the trip down while my girlfriend and I were thinking of a name and the police came on the radio with the song "roxanne". All i i could think of was eddie murphy singing roxanne in beverly hills cop. So she received a true 80's name. And that's how you get the screen name 87blackroxi.

Anyway introduction done. I have been reading alot of these posts and this is exactly what i've been looking for. knowledgeable, friendly people. I was previously on a local site and they were alll a bunch of childish people with limited knowledge and stupid remarks. So I am very greatful to have found this site. And best of all, you are all driving the best car made! None of those pimped out 4 cylinder dogs that are all show and no go like on the other site.

But my first question is: does anyone have flowmasters on their vette? and if so do you like them?

Welcome to the :CAC

Sounds like your 1st corvette cruise went Great. :Steer

Several CAC Member's have discussed exhaust and flowmasters, I'm sure they will chime in soon.

Enjoy your Corvette and CAC. :upthumbs

Welcome. I had flowmasters on my 85 and liked them. Enjoy the car, Guy

Great way to name a car. Put on your red dress... You'll find no problems asking questions and getting answers, and becoming acquainted with some of the personalities. I learned almost everything about mine here. Maybe you can pay in the $5 and support it. The search function is good on any topic.

I think Flowmasters sound deep and mellow with a muscle car howl. But as will be suggested over and over you need to hear them on an L98 (that's your motor) and decide. There are vette clubs nearby I guess?

C4s are wonderful cars with a mild disposition until you whip it up to a fierce animal. Be careful clowning at first. :w And wave like crazy to any and all Corvettes, some of their drivers may wave back!

Always nice to get another 87 around in the forum. Can't go wrong with a C4 if you ask to me. Have fun, in that warm weather, we are getting a snow storm up here in Indiana I hate all you southern folks..... :mad haha.

Answered my own question - It was Sting !

Roxanne
Sting

You don't have to put on the red light
Those days are over
You don't have to sell your body to the night

Roxanne
You don't have to wear that dress tonight
Walk the streets for money
You don't care if it's wrong or if it's right

Roxanne
You don't have to put on the red light

I loved you since I knew you
I wouldn't talk down to you
I have to tell you just how I feel
I won't share you with another boy
I know my mind is made up
So put away your make up
Told you once I won't tell you again
It's a bad way

You don't have to put on the red light

I have flowmasters on mine and am very happy with them. The resonance on long drives can be overcome with a good stereo system. :) I'm told I can be heard coming from 7 houses down.........approx 100 yards.

:w Hello and welcome to the Corvette Action Center.....Congrats on the Vette.....Your life is now complete, so you are now free to move about the Country....Enjoy !!

Shane,
Welcome to the CAC. I can move this to C4 General Discussion if you like, but you know, we also have a "New Member Introductions" section where you can get to know lots of vette fans from all generations. Do you want to put it over there?

Roxanne... good name! I think this part is very appropriate for your vette.

loved you since I knew you
I wouldn't talk down to you
I have to tell you just how I feel
I won't share you with another boy
