Good for you. He got what he deserved. So I got on the cellphone and called the PA state cops and they were waiting for him at the 81-74 split
Holy Crap! :eekHeavy Duty said:...As I was merging onto I-81 this clown wouldn't let me in...so I slowed down..he slowed down...I speeded up and he did the same. After several renditions on this and about to run out of lane it was clear this guy was trying to run me onto the shoulder. So I made one last attempt to act like I has going to speed up. I shifted to 4th at 60 MPH got on the gas and when I heard the clown's fart can as he got on it, I quickly got on the brakes hard and got behind him. Tried to get him to pull over but the clown wouldn't. Each time I tried to grab a lane he would counter move. So I got behind a Ford Expo and the clown cut him off. He did that to several people several times almost causing several wrecks. So I got on the cellphone and called the PA state cops and they were waiting for him at the 81-74 split. When they pulled him over, several of us pulled over as well and told the cops what this guy was doing. Boy was he a real punk and put up a real seen. I also think that he was drugged up because it took three of them to cuff him. Since I go that way a lot looks like I better have the 2 brothers ready just in case I run across this guy again. I am sure he'll be out to get even. I will say
that that Honda was very fast. It was all the stang could do to stay with him when he would accelerate. Correct me if I am wrong, but did the early model Accords have the same engine as the Acura? And that the older Accords are more preferred cars to bomb because you can get a lot of cheap HP?

I think I'd shop around a bit. If this price is installed, it's in the ballpark. I think I paid aroud $700.00 for mine, but I installed them myself. It's very easy if you can get the car up in the air so you can remove the stock TIs. They're one piece, and you can't get them over the rear end if the car's not in the air. The Stingers are two piece, and go on easily.Heavy Duty said:I am going Sat to pick up a set of Borla Stingers. Need to get rid of the wimpy exhaust sound. The place I'm going to get them has a sale going on right now. So is $779.99 a good price for a set of 4 tipped Borla Stingers? H.D.
I got mine from "Pickups Plus" here in Columbus, Oh. I buy stuff for my company trucks from them, and they're a Borla dealer. If you've shopped around, that may be what they're going for now.Heavy Duty said:Z06 Tom,
Nice set up...heck nice car. Two questions..1. where did you get yours from? 2. Can you work with the exhaust if you back the car onto a set of ramps? If not, then I have a friend who might let me use his lift to get the car up in the air. I don't think the $779.99 includes install. But, that price so far has beat Ecklers, Jegs, and a couple of others I've seen so far. Hey, I am going to do the lettering like you have on the back end of your car. I was toying between red, black, and chrome (Cracked Ice) lettering. But looking at yours I think red is the color. Besides, it will match the interior since it is black/red.
Thanks for the advice.

Congrats Doug. Great way to move into a larger Zzz. I too have always wanted to own a vette since I was a kid. I bought my first ('86 coupe) two years ago. Although it is not a Z-06, I still love that car and it still amazes me every time I drive it. In spite of the low HP, the car is very quick. I now have it in the shop having a new paint job put on it and when it gets home I'll be re-doing the interior. So the serious mods to the Zzz will have to wait until I've finished with the '86. The '86 only has 43,000 miles on it. The Zzz already has 16,000 miles. The bad thing is I can only drive one at a time. I'll have to park the 2 vettes, the Mustang, and the pickup in a circle and spin the bottle to see which one to drive on nice daysabowtieguy said:Hi all, I am also new to the Zo6 world as well as to Corvette and this forum.I just recently bought my "Dream Car" a '04 Z16 Commemoritive Edition what a car! I was really lucky to get it. First of all I wanted one since I was a kid (along time ago) and from some luck I won a '04 Nissan 350Z Roadster from Q107FM radio station here in Calgary from a online contest. When I was told I won the car, I immediatly thought I would trade it for a Vette. Then I thought I should use common sense and sell it and put a down payment on a house. When I tried to see how much I could get for it, I went to my Chevy dealer to get a price from them and they made me a deal on a Z16 that I couldn't turn down so I though common sense out the window and traded the "little z" for the "BIG Z".
The car is amazing and unfortunatly it's put away for winter, I only have put just over 500 miles on her. I guess when spring comes it should be broken in and have some real fun!:L Over the winter I want to put a subwoofer in and to get rid of CAGS. I have bought a blue carbon fiber air bridge and K&N filter for it already. It's really hard not to "mod" it to much.
I'll stop this rambling now. Later!
