Hi Rik and welcome to the!!
Tell us a little about yourself and your C6!! I see you list your location as Michigan... have you had to put your Vette into hibernation yet?
Jane Ann
Thanks.I keep my C6 on the road all winter. I have the Advanced handling and F-55 so I'll be ok. I drove it last winter, as long as the snow is plowed no problem. As for me, i'm a Viet nam vet and an electronic musician and computer artist.Love my C6...
Welcome to the CAC, from one Michiganer to another. I drove my C6 last wenter also, with no problems.
How about some pictures?
Only salt here. Really good Laser wash with underbody flush? Polymer coating on paint, clear bra.Hi, Rik, and welcome to the
Aren't you guys worried about all the salt and sand they put on the roads in the winter? Around here, even in a relatively mild winter, the gravel mixture they put down after a snowfall tends to stay laying around until April, when they finally get street sweepers out, leading to rock chips and dings on the windshield. And that's just on local streets.
On the highways around here, they put down Mag-Chloride, a syrup-y mixture that's designed to keep ice from forming. And the side effect is when it splashes on anything chrome, nickel or aluminum, it starts turning it blue.
:ugh
I'll second that!

Exactly! I have all the nanny stuff but most do not! I drive after the snow is plowed, and only after I'm sure it's safe. But I had no problems last year.Hi, Rik! Welcome to CAC!
Thank you for your service to our country. I can only imagine what it was like in Vietnam. Glad you are here!
I drive mine on nice days all through the winter. I am in Chicago, so I have to be careful of people sliding and slamming their cars into me!
