No backpressure from gas cap

Hey all, I've had my 91 for 5 yrs. now and everytime I've taken off my gas cap I don't get a" Wooosh " sound, car runs fine, have read that I should have some backpressure when cap is removed.(cap is maybe 1 yr.old) Is this something to be concerned about? Thanks,Doug

On my Alero I almost always do, but the vette doesn' do it as often as my Alero

If there was a problem with your gas cap, for example it's not sealing fully, your "check engine' light would come on. No light, no problem.

Cap is good,and no "light". Guess I can move on to my next project,halfshaft ujoints!!! Thanks Guys!! Doug
