well the alternator is new so that narrows it down a bit but doesnt explain why all of a sudden my horn works. well i finally got the vats to let go now i am kinda back at square 1 with no spark no fuel no codes but it will turn over. clutch safety switch is bypassed with the wires twisted together with a wire nut and electrical tape(not my work, i just go by if it aint broke dont fix it.) im going to go ahead and make some room to work with tomorrow
This is just an electrical problem. Its like plumbing...trace the lines from where its known to work to the things that do not work.
The ground splices are directly under the wiper motor below the valve cover. You get to the grounds and their bolt from under the car. The splices all merge behind the valve cover.
The best access is from removing the wiper, sometimes a valve cover. Pull spark plug wires away and other misc wiring, hoses etc. You can see the harness and the trunk lines, and where they merge. Getting hands on them....thats another issue. I chopped the harness from right behind the valve cover where I could get to it and soldered in new. I would have done the splice section IF I could have actually reached it somehow. Looks like the motor has to come out OR about everything else to lift the harness up enough to do surgery. Either way, it ain;t easy but its a darn good place to find electrical problems.
