wanted to let everyone who responded to my plea for someone to look at a vette in gurnee il, that it sold to someone else today. thanks much to edmond who was going to look at it for me. i'm glad it sold before he wasted the trip out there.

so, i'm still looking for a black 91-96 six speed in the $14,000 range. if anyone sees anything, please let me know. i guess it's back to autotrader.com for me.

Hang in there Tom, there's one out there with your name on it. ;)

Tom,
You may want to also keep you eye on "CARS.COM". I found my 95 coupe on that site, and only had to drive 10 miles to see it.

Bummer Tom but don't worry, your next one is out there. Let's hope it's somewhere that isn't so cold.

From the looks of the post above, someone wants you in an LT4:upthumbs.

eric, how about ft lauderdale? it's pretty warm down there...i put a bid on the 96 ce that 6 shooter pointed me to.

we'll see what happens.

that's what i call wishfull thinking:Twist

although, i'd be willing to pay a little more for an lt4/lt5.

sigshooter,

had a lady stop me in Penneys last friday while I was doing my Xmas shopping and said she has two convertibles for sale in Farmville, VA. One is a 91 and the other a 87. I have her phone number at home. She told me about them as I had on a Corvette jacket and was buying a Corvette 50th Anniv. wall clock ( good deal at Penneys, $40 bucks and it sounds a diffrent engine on the hour and has a different model vette for the numbers from 53 to 2003). I think the 91 was red and the 87 was ruby?? anyways it is close to you and I would be glad to take a look at them with you. if you are interested let me know and I will e-mail you her phone number. Price was around $14K for the 91 and I think she said 6 to 7K on the 87.

Randy,

Is it that time again to do Christmas shopping? Wow, time sure flies by!:eek

Tom,

I'm sure you'll find the right one for you. Honestly, I'm kind of biased with the 6 Shooter here, I like the LT4. C5 type of power with C4 styling and price. How could you beat that?

Edmond,

HO! HO! HO! And the best part is it is all done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the info randy. but i think i'm really leaning toward an 96 ce lt4. i found one in md, and one in florida. the md one is close by, but it's had the engine rebuilt 3000 miles ago...i don't really know what to make of that. i might check it out this weekend.
