Ok guys I had my first problem today with 67,000 miles. I had just pulled a 12 hour shift at work when I got to my car put the key in and she would not turn over all lights came on on dash and everthing else seemed fine, so I checked my voltage gauge to see if my battery was low, but she read 11.9 volts. So I turned key key a few more times and nothing. So I started thinking od possiable sollutions. Made sure clutch was fully disengaged and still nothing. So I opened trhe hood and checked circuit breakers all were fine. So I got back in and turned the key she turned over and would start then die right out. I t did this about 6 times So I waited about 5 mines and tried again. She started fine and I drove home with no other problems. If anybody has everhad this kind of problem let me know what you did for the solution.!!

HI there,
It sounds to me like you have a security feature issue.
I would suggest that you may have security codes in the PCM, and the BCM. Please retreive all codes in those 2 modules, and post them please.
My feeling is that there will be at least a P1626 in your PCM.
PLease keep us posted as to what you find, c4c5:hb

Codes

PCM- p1631 H
BCM -B2721 H
B2723

IPC - Bo521
U- 1160

I got online and looked the codes up and I think you were right about the theft detterent system. Thanks for the help

HI there,
Your 1631 is it. This shows that the fuel enable circuit did NOT receive the correct password.
I suggest 2 courses of action here.
First, have your Corvette specialist check for worn contacts in the ignition cylinder, or worn contact points on the key.
Just make sure that if you need more keys, that you get the correct value for your key.
Allthebest, c4c5:hb

Keys

Strange that you said that about the key because I used it last night to open a box I won't do that again!!. Thaks for the help
