Thank y'all for the kind welcome. I am a fifteen-year transplant from Virginia. I teach US/NC history at a middle school. This is my 39th year in the classroom. I have always been able to blend my personal life with my classroom persona, so many of my stduents have "Corvette Fever". The others just roll their eyes. Adolescents do that for just about any topic anyway, so what the heck! :eyerole

I am the seventh owner of my 1994 Corvette. It appears to have been taken care of throughout its fourteen-year history. Perhaps it was even shown at local events. Anyway, another thing that is important is that my wife is on board for this Corvette adventure. (She never liked my '66 mustang) Go figure!

So long for now, Otto

Welcome!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

For your devotion to teaching you deserve thanks... and sympathy. :L My best friend is in her 32nd or 33rd year and plans to retire at 35.

What can I say? She has excellent taste! ;)

You may want to check out this thread too, Otto. We have a group here in the SE region that tries to get together a couple of times a year for cruises around the Smokey Mountain - Tail of the Dragon area.

If you're interested and available the last weekend in October check here ----> click
For a video I created compiling photos from various trips and sites check here ---> Dragon Tale

Enjoy the forums and your new Corvette!

Welcome Ottomatic! Congrats on your 'new' C4. I miss my '88 coupe sometimes. I really love the road feel that you get from it and I think the clamshell hood is really cool.

I was stationed in Jacksonville, NC while in the Marines. I think NC is a great place. :thumb
