anybody in northern new jersey, bergen county, have their callaways serviced, locally ? if so, where and were you satisfied with the service. i'm looking for someone familiar with the cars. Thanks

ANY CHEVROLET DEALER SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO SERVICE ON YOUR CAR.
YOU MAY NEED TO GET SOME OF THE CALLAWAY RAMPS; SO YOUR BODY WILL HAVE ENOUGH GROUND CLEARANCE FOR THEIR LIFTS.

I agree with John :cool

Also, the elevation ramps can be used to display your Callaway at shows, etc.

BTW, which Callaway do you have???

Finally, Callaway Cars will be training the dealer network on Callaway products - there is a Callaway Dealer located at:

NEW JERSEY
Classic Chevrolet
Route 38 and S. Lenola Road
Moorestown NJ 08057
888.303.1690
www.searchclassicchevrolet.com
Callaway Specialist, Bill Zeoli

I am not certain where they are at in their stages of training, but they should be up and running soon :w

i own the pearl yellow c12, hp is around 450 from callaway. all stock.

ctr2 did you end up getting a C12?

Good deal - I bet THAT car never gets much attention ;LOL

Seriously, I take my Callaways to the Chevy Dealer for service.

But NOT any Chevy Dealer! :mad I actually was told to leave one with my race car :eyerole

I found an amazing service guy not far from me - treats me with respect and my cars even better :cool He has come up through the Corvette ranks since the mid-80s and is well versed on the latest and greatest :cool

There is nothing unique or difficult to work on from a mechanical sense that cannot be overcome. I would suggest that you interview a dealer first and if they ask WHY would you want to keep the car indoors and up on a lift when the shop is "closed" then I would move on... :bash

I hope this helps - and congrats!! :beer

ctr2-I believe we have seen pictures of your car? It is very sharp!!

ctr2,

Congrats... that is a beautiful specimen.

Oh wow! Is it the one that was for sale on Dupont Registry? I just checked their site, and it's still on there.

DICK, IF YOU GET THE RAMPS; BE SURE TO PUT RUBBER MATS UNDER THEM ON SMOOTH SERFACES. (SOME TIMES WHEN YOU DRIVE UP ON THEM, THE DRIVE WHEELS WILL SEND THEM FLYING.)

Thanks everyone for all your advice. Before the pearl yellow c12, I was fortunate to own the pearl white c12. I loved that car as well, the only thing that made me even think of selling it, was that it was a heavy duty automatic. The car was and still is stunning. It only had 1800 miles on it. The yellow c12 is a six speed and has about 12900 miles.

So the pearl white that was for sale in Texas and now owned by Mr Reeves Callaway himself ?

So you were not unfamiliar with the Callaway product as i thought ;)

spoke to a very large chevy dealer in bergen county, they said that they have no specs for my c12, but would still take a look at it. unfortunately Moorestown dealer is 96 miles away and callaway at old lyme is 115 miles away. any ideas ?

when Old Lyme is only 115 miles away I would have no doubts and go to the specialists.

DICK,
I BROKE AN EXHAUST VALVE SPRING IN WESTERN PA.
THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF ME.
THEIR SERVICE MANAGER TALKED TO MIKE V AT CALLAWAY AND THEY SENT OUT REPAIR PARTS NEXT DAY MAIL.
THE NEXT AFTERNOON I WAS BACK ON THE ROAD.
A C12 IS STILL A CORVETTE, IF ANY SPECIAL PARTS ARE NEEDED CALLAWAY WILL WORK WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO GET YOU BACK ON THE ROAD.
:upthumbs

John, Thanks for the advice. The car seems to be sluggish while accelerating when I'm on the highway in 5th or 6th at low rpm's. Pulsating a bit at idle, also.
