NOS systems... Anyone done this b-4?

I'm thinking about placing a NOS system on the old rag top for some summer fun. (and perhaps kicking some rice bunner butts at the stop lights). Anyway, it comes to me that there is not a lot of room under the hood for the tank, and was wondering if anyone here found a good place to fit the bottle.

Also, what is the system like to use? Real HP gain? Engine life? Problems? Does the tank last more than a night if you don't hammer it all the time?

Another concern is that I have the 4+3 trans that is not known for holding up all that well. Wonder if I kept the shifts down to normal (no bangs), and used the NOS like a sane person would the car hold together..........

there are many threads on NOs usage...I would suggest doing a search and reading through the ones that have already been created. here are the results for a search of "NOS"

also, depending how many shots your system is set up for (hp gain) and the size of you bottle the tank should last a pretty long time.

My 4+3 has held up well, but I just broke my rear end! 2nd one, and I don't 'beat' the car, neither.

A pal did NOS on his '84 and got sideways real quick, in 2nd.

After that harrowing experience, he built in all sorts of logic to restrict when it would shoot, plus rev limiters, etc.
