Not Again...

She wouldn't shift out of third (auto) so, since it had 75K, I figured she needs an overhaul. So out came the tranny and a local rebuilt it for me. It ran fine for about 150-200 miles and it's doing it again.

I find it hard to believe I cooked it already, plus now I'm thinking I had it overhauled for nothing if something else is amiss. Is there something else I can examine closer like the control cable or is there a vacuum system I don't know about?

Well,We can't be a hell of allot of help with out the model!~!!
Not all "C4's" have the same Automatic Transmission!~!!

Crap, I can't remember (at work). Must be a stress block :gap. It's a '96 Collectors if that's any help. I'll check my notes when I get home...

Yeah,That helps!
My guess is the 3-4 shift solenoid is faulty or there is a broken or loose connection to it in the transmission or the vehicle!
Did the builder replace the solenoids and pressure switch when rebuilding it?
