I saw my first C6 "in the wild" today. Finally! I don't know what it is around here. I'd have thought I'd have seen a dozen by now. . . and I have been looking.

At least it was a M-Yellow one! :)

I've had the same problem. Saw a black one on two seperate occasions. The second time I was in my vette and he waved!! Good to know that the newest generation vette doesnt have stuck up drivers (so far). Didn't like the exhaust note.. too quiet.. Mine sounded better if I don't say so myself.

I've seen three. First a black one in the neighborhood. stunning car! Then a silver which was very sharp and then a red one on the highway yesterday.

Each one I've seen has impressed me more on the road as compared to the showrooms.

The car looks really good in its environment. (Much better than the showroom) IMHO

Boy you guys should live in metro Detroit. We've seen loads of them. Matter of fact I only half turn my head when one goes by now.:eyerole Don't get me wrong I'd still kill to own one.:cool

I have yet to see any around here in the Boston area. I kind of miss living where I was before. All the cars around here on the road are so damn boring.

At least in the DC Metro area, there's a ton of Corvettes, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, high-end Mercedes, an occasional Lotus Elise, etc. There's always something cool to see on the roads down there.

For some reason, Hondas, Nissans, Toyotas, your run-of-the-mill econo-boxes, and pickup trucks, just don't do it for me. :(

We miss you down here buddy! We mourn the loss of any ZR1 and its awesome driver!

Thanks Tator. :) I miss the area too. I kind of miss having my ZR down there as well....in some ways. Down there, the weather down is milder so I could keep the ZR on the road year-round vs. up here, where we've already had some snow and the roads are now covered in a dusty salt glaze.

I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to drive it in a month. Plus, it needs tires badly and something is wrong with the front suspension. It's chewing through the outside edge of the right front tire. So...for now, it's sitting in storage until I can save up the money for a set of new tires and to take it to the dealer to find out what's wrong with the front-end. Chances are, I won't be driving it till late Spring. :cry

Man I know how that goes, I can't wait to see what this winter brings me!! Luckily we are having a string of good weather down here, 71 yesterday (thoughtd I'd rub it in!!). It'll get better Rob, hang in there!

My car is so quiet at idle that I've left the car running three times after leaving it. I recently got past the 500 mile limit and hit it a little...the roar was unreal compared to my C5.

Thanks....I REALLY appreciate it. :SLAP :Buttslap

Haven't see a C6 in the wild here yet! Saw the C5's before they were really out for sale, but not one C6??????

I've not seen any in the 'hood' and only a few on the road. I decided to do something about it by putting a black/black Z-51 6 speed in my garage.

I didn't really promise to sell the beast, tho.

BTW, I educated 3 new-to-Corvette C-6ers that it is customary to wave to other Corvettes.

:w

Man, those first thousand break-in miles will be forever! She does roar when tapped, I did find out, briefly.

Poor Rob! I hate to rub it in but there are two that I see nearly every day on 66 now. And they're starting to just pop up around here - when you least expect, there one is. The two on 66 are that orange looking color and a black one. Theres a red one I've seen parked at Giant so he's close, just gotta find out where he parks it:D.

I don't think I like you anymore. :L

Before I moved back up here, I was working out at the Golds Gym in Sterling and there was a Precision Red one parked in the back of the gym when I was leaving.

I have seen at least 2...both in new jersey on I-287 a silver one and a maroon one.... very sharp looking vettes!!!!;)
