the rats nest that is under there...I am not sure what I have to keep and what I can get rid of...I got rid of all the smog controls and the ac since it is basically worthless in c3's anyway...is there someone out there that can point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
John Dykstra

What exactly is the info you are looking for? I'm not sure I understand...:confused

well I guess what I am trying to get at is...this is a 1981 ex smog, ex ac, car and not it is a manual choke 350 and thats about it plus power steering and brakes...and I have alot of wires that are not hooked up to anything just kinda dangling and I was wondering if there are any books or something that would tell me what to cut...or if there was anyone in my situation before and what they did...

John, I've got a 75 that I.m going through the same thing with. I got sent to a dr. rebuild site that had some vacuum diagrams on it. I havent got to change
mine yet to see if eveything was OK. The only concern I had was that there
was an issue with other venders using his diagrams in their ads for kits, and
he indicated that his diagrams were intentionally misplaced to prove they were
stealing them. I regress........nobody came forward with anything else.......I'll
let you know if it works for me.

Well, I certainly wouldn't go cutting anything right away. I would suggest for the the time being, just neatly roll up all the excess wires, connectors, and what not, wire-tie them together then tuck them out of the way. If it turns out that after a couple of months that you for sure aren't going to be reverting back to anything, then you can make your cuts. Or you may be able to remove part(s) of the harness intact and sell it to someone. Either way, I'd certainly reference the shop manual to see what is what...
