So it isn't a Callaway - but tonite, my older daughter sat down to begin her very first model car :cool
This past weekend, my family and I, all travelled to Chryslers @ Carlisle (to get an early fix) and while there, we took the kids, to the Kids at Carlisle building that has all sorts of activities for young folks :cool
It was there in the building, my daughter saw other kids had entered model cars in the model buiding contest and asked where she could buy a car to put into the show.
I explained to her that they were not really bought. Rather, they were built by the kids. She asked then, if she could build one herself - I said SURE! :cool
So while it is not a Callaway, it is a Corvette and is giving her some valuable lessons in following printed directions (which she reads, then finds the corresponding part #'s) as she puts the pieces together.
In time, maybe even for her next model if she is still interested at the end of all this, she can have one of the Speedster Callaway models I have (in boxes) :cool
Attached, are some pics of the progress tonite - we "tinted the windows" and I explained to her about details such as black paint around the window frames, to look like weather stripping, etc.
I just thought I would share this with everyone, as I am one proud father :cool
