Hey

Does anyone know of a shop or person that can reprogram OBD-II PCM's in the NEw England area, more specifically Boston, but will drive to the right shop. I need some programming and would like to get it done locally.

Also the LT-1 Editor(Program) is a very good program and has helped me greatly, but it has some programming limitations and those are the areas I need to address.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

for what kind of car? both you have listed don't have obdII. but Ilive in beverly. and I want some software for my laptop that does obdII my shop is in amesbury but i don't mind working at home or your house. if you want to. you buy software we'll use it?What are you looking to change timing, fuel, trans, ect.

obdII

Kenny just downloaded the software onto his laptop off the internet. I believe it was free and I'll have to ask him what site he visited.

Our problem...is locating a connector that goes from his Ford Explorer to the laptop (without going to the dealership), local auto parts places either don't have it or don't know what we're talking about.

I put an LT-4 into a 75 and I need the OBD-II reprgrammed to eliminate some codes and some sensors.

The LT-1 Edit Program is very good and I have it. Without it I never would have made this switch work, however, I did not take the 6-Speed and am using a tranny that is non electric.

I am also throwing an EGR Code, which confuses me becuase the 96 LT-4 had no EGR Valve. I was hoping to drive the car somewhere and have it reprogrammed on the spot, but I guess I will have to ship it out to one of the many street rod shops miles away and hope it works when I plug it in. I had gone that route once and got nowhere which is why I purchased the LT-1 Edit program. The Car finally runs but has some issues I believe related to PCM reprogramming.

I will tell you that Kenny probably either got the LT-1 Edit Program, from Carputing, or the other one I have seen is OBD-II.com, but that is scanner software with no programming ability. I have downloaded both. The OBD-II website has all the cables he would need to use his Laptop as a Scanner and the Carputing Web Site has info on the cables for their software. Unfortunately, the cables are not the same and can not be interchanged.

b&b elec.all the software & cables for reprograming obdI & obdII $1800.00
