Hey everyone,

I just installed a Mr. Gasket high performance 180 thermostat. But my temperature gauge barely climbs above the tick-mark between 100 and 200 on my temp gauge.

When I had a high performance 160, it stayed just above the tick mark.
When I had a basic 180, it would bounce between just below 200 and above 210.

So either my 180 thermostat is opening too soon/stuck open, or I'm imagining things.

Any opinions?

I had the same problem with my 86, I put in a Mr gasket 180 and I never got over 140. I had to remove and put in a stant 180. Must be a problem with the Mr Gaskets

What makes a radiator cap high performance?
