Yep, only the ZR1 is affected by the gas guzzler taxes. The Z06 is actually the only 500+hp car in the world that one does not have to pay a gas guzzler tax on! Go GM!

I'm going to compare.I do know that the vert with #lt group is down about $500 and the coupe is up about $1000. all options are the same.I'm lookin' hard.

Does anyone know if the wheel pkgs are specific to certain models? Can you only select a different Z06 wheel if you are buying a Z06? Can you only select ZR1 wheels when buying a ZR1? Same with a standard C6. Or can you order a ZR1 or Z06 wheel and put it on a standard C6? Also does anyone have pictures of them?

The wheel packages are limited to their specific model, because the wheel sizes are different on each model. The base coupe & convertible are equipped with 18" x 8.5" wheels in the front & 19" x 10" in the rear. The Z06's have 18" x 9.5" in the front & 19" x 12" in the rear. As for the ZR1's, I believe they are equipped with 19" wheels in the front & 20" wheels in the rear.

Very cool! And doubly cool on the sales tax!! For my C5, I ended up paying $600 for used chromes with tires and sensors - that's why I'm opting for the wheels later. I have a hard time paying that much for the wheels myself. I may end up going with polished instead of chrome but I guess I won't know until they're on the car. I have to say that I really like this GCA 7-spoke wheels that the Hertz ZHZ Vettes have.

I had the polished wheels on my C5 and I liked the style but not the finish.I don't like the style of the C6 but like chrome.I may go your root ,buy std stock wheels and find some aftermarket that I like .I'll look at the Hertz.
