Oil Filter Help for 2003 Z06

Hi, I recently purchased an 03 Z06 and wanted to change my oil after 1000 miles. Does anyone know what the part number of some recommended oil filters are and where is a good place (cheap) to buy them? I have heard of:

AC-Delco UPF44 Gold Ultraguard
Something from Mobil and
K&N Gold or something.

The AC-Delco UPF44 Gold Ultraguard was supposedly discontinued last year, but I have been hearing rumors that the filter may be put back into production. I have no concrete information on this yet. Check with your local Chevrolet dealer to see if they have any of these in stock. The GM part number for the UPF-44 oil filter is 25329389.

A good alternative is the Purolater Pure One filter or the Mobil 1 M1-107 oil filter.

I used the AC Delco UPF-44 and RedLine 10W40 for my first oil change at 3000 miles. Can't tell the difference from Mobil 1.

The 3000 mile oil change may seem too long to some of you, but I put 2200 miles on the Vette in the first four days.

The UPF44 was the only Ultraguard Gold filter that GM-SPO continues to sell.

All the others were discontinued.

I should add that Mobil Oil Corp. and GM-SPO use the same filter supplier for the Mobil and Ultraguard Gold oil filters. Internally, the Mobil is just as good a filter so I'd price both then buy the least expensive of the two.
